I see Morgoth has not bothered to follow me…
The damned deal-breaker was terrified of my mother. Perhaps he’s terrified of me as well?
I haven’t a care what you do with me. You just leave him out of this, alright? I mean…I guess the real question I want to ask is…why him? I’m sure there are other, um…food sources around where you are, am I right?
You are as wrong as you are small, halfling. I get naught but Orc, and that is only on very rare occasion. When my Sneak brought me one halfling, I was delighted; overwhelmed with gratitude when a second arrived, but as you know, that feeling didn’t linger for very long. Your Frodo was the closest thing I’d had to a proper meal in months. I advise him not to take things too personally, though; if it were anyone else, say that Aragorn fellow, or perhaps Legolas the Elf, I would not have treated them any differently than I did him.
*sneers just a little* I will not allow you to harm him again. You would have to get to me first.

Not a problem with me, little one; if you put up twice the fight that he did, I will have taken him by the morrow!
So...you must be the spider who stung my dear Frodo. Am I right?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I am. What a pleasure to meet you, little halfling.
Is … “your dear Frodo” around, so we can finish what we started? I’m afraid he abandoned me in the middle of our fun!
Now, I've just noticed something very interesting, my lady. In the books, you are described as "spider-like" not a giant spider. What are you thoughts on this? How do you differ from a spider?

I have a question for you, greyface; what books do you speak of?
And I differ from a spider because I am magnificent. I thought that would be obvious.
why don't you get together with Smeagol??

Why don’t I? Because he is my Sneak. I suppose ‘Sneak’ would translate to ‘best friend’ to you mortals. Besides, I am a spider.

And he is… well… he is humanlike.

I do not see how that would work.
As a fellow Tolkien Aficionado, I just wanted to share some Middle-Earth love. Love your blog, Shelob <3

Oh, thank you very much! Perhaps, dearest Andre, I shall save you for last…
